The Johnny Twist Blues Museum, located in Woodlawn at 6455 S. Cottage Grove Ave. has been recently damaged by an electrical fire, but was fortunately not totally destroyed.

News of the above disaster was carried out by TV, newspaper, podcast, radio, and word of mouth throughout America and overseas.
Johnny Twist, owner of the 7.3 star rated Chicago Rocka Boogie Blues Museum, has set up a gofundme seeking $1,000,000 Million to help rebuild and restore the Blues Museum, which is a Woodlawn treasure to our community and abroad.
He wants to thank you for your sincere support. Yet Johnny Twist is no stranger by no means necessary to Chicago - and wants to make it crystal clear - he does not want to be bothered by psuedo/fake supporters approaching him who are claiming to help rebuild but are just trying to get fame by using his famous name and not putting money in his hand.
Why did he say this? It is because he has people with goodwill and sincerely good hearts, who are willing to give to his gofundme to support the best and oldest Blues museum in America which is owned by a Black man!

There is more to this story in which I will explain the extent of the severity of damage to my museum in the book of my life which I am writing for you some truths and facts will be coming your way. Yet

The first piece of news we must address is the enemy claiming that I am dead. Legendary Rocka boogie Blues star Johnnie Twist AKA Bekitem Batu is in no way dead. I am alive and well running my legendary blues museum Johnnie Twist’s Show N Tell located at 6455 S. Cottage Grove Ave. the internet obituaries are a lie. I ride the bus and walk the streets and shop at the grocery store in my neighborhood daily where most of you see me and often say “hello!”
If anyone doubts I am alive please come visit me at my museum. Please be aware that all obituaries posted about me do not even spell my name correctly this is a clear case of the enemy attempting to sabotage me and the name I’ve built as an artist and a teacher.
